BIOGRAPHY: Lt., Henry Galley. 1st Lt., Mosquito. Escaped from Fortune Jail, England, and on his return to Virginia, ordered to take command of the
Brig Jefferson, Sept. 10, 1779.
Byrd married 1 Elizabeth Dandridge daughter of William Dandridge Jr.
and Agnes West about 1790 in VA. Elizabeth was born in 1751/1776. She died in 1793/1862.
They had the following children:

, William ) was born 2 in 1758 in King William Co., VA. He died
3 in 1806 in King William Co., VA.
BIOGRAPHY: Entered as midshipman in 1776; 2nd Lt., 177 and 1778; in 1781 bore a part in taking two of the enemy's vessels off the coast of S.C. and
went with one of them as supercargo into some part of N.C. USP, Benj. Figg, who stated that he had lived for nearly two years in the same house with
Lt. Chamberlayne, remembered having seen him in uniform with other officers at Frazer's Ferry subsequent to the siege of York. In USP is the petition
of Wm. Byrd Chamberlayne, Lewis W. Chamberlayne, James Edward Ruffin, sole heir of Eliz. B. Ruffin, and Robert and Mary A. Williamson, only heirs of
Lucy Parke Williamson.
BIOGRAPHY: Lieutenant in the State navy and received land warrents for three years service.
Edward married 1 (1) Agnes Dandridge daughter of William Dandridge
Jr. and Agnes West about 1785. Agnes was born in 1753/1772. She died in 1790/1859.
